Applications outside of wire and cable markets also demand fire resistance, flame/smoke/toxicity testing and physical property requirements. Gendon develops and formulates FR compounds for cables that go into wind turbines, photovoltaic (PV) panels and other renewable / alternative energy assets. In addition, Gendon manufactures specialty compounds for fire safety cable, mining and tunnel ventilation products, and steep-slope imitation slate and shake roof covering materials.
